Macintosh Retail Group has opted to pull out all the stops to achieve sustainable production and responsible
working conditions for a number of European companies under its umbrella – including Kwantum, which is one
of Tvilum-Scanbirk’s largest customers in the Benelux countries.

Macintosh Retail Group has given its consent for the independent environmental organisation TFT (The Forest
Trust) to examine a wide range of products from the respective companies with the aim of finding sustainable
new materials and production methods.

TFT will, throughout the project, provide advice and technical assistance in the countries where production
takes place. The products under the magnifying glass are primarily products such as shoes and furniture made
of leather and wood, the production of which generally involves high environmental and human cost.

In their cooperation with TFT, Macintosh Retail Group (and Kwantum) have taken a major step towards sustain-
ability, and we, at Tvilum-Scanbirk, look forward to seeing the positive results.
