Tipping furniture can, unfortunately, have fatal consequences, especially for children, so safety in the home
is high on the list of priorities of most families. At Tvilum-Scanbirk, we address the issue of safety in the home
by constantly improving the safety of our furniture.

 
We have recently optimised the safety of our shelf units and chests of drawers over 60 cm in height with the
addition of an anti-tip bracket, which is easy to fit. We also test our TV units to the strict American standard
for TV units (UL 1678).

The TV unit is tested by placing it on a flat surface at an angle of 10 degrees, after which loads of varying weights and centres of gravity are placed on top.		The anti-tip bracket is a simple safety device which is easy to attach to the shelf unit and wall. Fasten with a screw or mounting suitable for the wall in question.
