16 "green" initiatives

At Tvilum-Scanbirk we have chosen to take on a global responsibility to ensure the viability of our activities.
Our green profile is an integrated part of our basis of value, and we act with consideration for environment
and health – in terms of purchase for production and packaging. We wish to integrate our »green« way of
thinking into all our activities. We keep ourselves up to date with the most recent knowledge within the area,
and we work persistently to improve our position as a green enterprise – all the way through.

1. Our furniture does not contain PVC
2. Our chipboard contains minimum 25% recycled wood
3. 34% of our total energy consumption is CO2 neutral
4. All our printed paper is manufactured from FSC certified paper
5. All waste chipboard from the production is recycled or used for CO2 neutral heating
6. We sort all used paper for recycling purposes
7. All our furniture is PEFC certified
8. We have reduced the emission from chipboard by 50%
9. All our furniture carries the indoor climate label
10. Our cardboard packaging consists of 98% recycled materials
11. We are taking part in the development of the >>EU flower label<<
12. Our furniture is made in Denmark
13. Reduced content of lead in mirrors
14. Our furniture is tested for harmful substances
15. Observance of international safety requirements
16. We sort all used plastic and cardboard for recycling purposes
